Glen Boy, B.A., CFRE

In the fall of 1990, Glen Boy founded Boy Campaign Consultants, a highly respected consulting firm dedicated to providing a uniquely personal approach to the fundraising and communication needs of community based not-for-profit organizations. A graduate of the University of Calgary, Glen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Management, as well as a Diploma in Recreation Leadership from Humber College in Toronto. Glen has over 30 years management experience in the not-for-profit sector. Since establishing his own company in 1990, Glen has guided and directed fundraising projects for numerous not-for-profit organizations and municipalities across Ontario – in the areas of capital, annual and integrated fund development programs to a variety of clients. Glen has presented at conferences conducted by the Ontario Library Association, Parks and Recreation Ontario, the Foundation for Health Care Philanthropy, Family Service Ontario and the Credit Counseling Bureau of Ontario. Glen is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and member of the Foundation of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Glen is a founding member and Past President of Waterloo Region Fundraising Executives. Glen is married with two daughters, and is an active Rotarian, avid cyclist, and enjoys playing golf.

Jim Phillips, B.A. , CGA, C. Dir.

Jim was born in Chesley, Ontario and attended the University of Guelph – graduating in 1976 with his Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Certified General Accountants designation ( CGA ) in 1981 and his Chartered Director designation ( C. Dir. ) in 2012 from McMaster University and the Conference Board of Canada. During his career Jim has worked in the private, government and not-for-profit sectors. He began his career in the banking and trust industry, including the position of Chief Accountant with Victoria and Grey Trust Company. Subsequently he was employed by the Province of Ontario in financial and human resources management roles. Prior to his early retirement in 2011, Jim served for 26 years as Director of Corporate Resources of Family and Children’s Services of Waterloo Region and for 20 years as the Chief Executive Officer of the Family and Children’s Services Foundation. In 1991 he initiated the creation of the Foundation which grew to administer more than $1 million in investment assets and annual fundraising/ granting in excess of $500,000 per year. Jim and his wife have been residents of Waterloo Region for over 30 years, have two daughters and two grandchildren. Jim has been active in his church and the community, and has been recognized for his volunteer and fundraising activities by the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Today, in addition to his consulting work, Jim serves on the Board of Directors of the OMERS pension plan and Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. He is a member of the Directors College, the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Municipal Retirees Organization of Ontario. He enjoys time at the family cottage on the shores of Lake Huron.

Robin Tilbe B.A.

Robin has frontline experience working with organizations in both the charitable and public sectors. She combines her work as a recreation therapist, social worker, and childlife therapist with more than 10 years experience in administrative support in the private sector. Robin’s attention to detail makes her perfect for the role of managing the day to day process from scheduling to research to report production.
